A triumphant Scott Hamilton, Olympic gold medalist in figure skating, returned home Thursday to applause of thousands of fans who lined city streets. Hamilton, who attended school in Denver and now trains and lives in the city much of the time, was honored by a motorcade from Stapleton International Airport, a parade through the downtown and the renaming of a street. The slightly-built skater won the gold medal in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, Feb. 16. He also holds four national and three world figure skating titles.
