Content description from ICHCAP (http://www.ichcap.org/eng/contents/multimedia.php?mode=view&code=M0000366) :
In accordance with their cultural calendar, ever few years the island of Tanna hosts a festival of dances, feasting and exchange that symbolizes the alliances between different tribes. This festival originally celebrated the end of war between the people of Tanna, but it is now Vanuatu's single largest custom event, involving hundreds of people and several days and nights of dancing, feasting and gift exchange ceremonies. The preparation for the Nekowair takes up to one year. This video is an extract of the ceremony.
