Explores the importance of the Buffalo to the tribes of the North American plains and searches for the spiritual elements of what the Buffalo meant historically and in the present to the peoples of the Chippewa, Cree and Dogrib tribes. Combines footage of a modern hunt with historical footage to illustrate its central concepts.
